Looking back over two decades

Our Team's History

We've been around a lot longer than 2025.

From FRC to VEX — a tradition of excellence.

The White Oaks Robotics Club has a history of teams which have achieved remarkable success in regional, national and international competitions, while inspiring many students to pursue their passion for engineering.

The program traces back to the FIRST Robotics Competition, where White Oaks built and battled full-size robots for years. Through VEX, we aim to follow in those footsteps — continuing a tradition of excellence and innovation into a new era of the V5 Robotics Competition.

White Oaks FRC robotics history

The FRC years.

Long before VEX, White Oaks students designed, machined and drove competition robots on the FIRST Robotics Competition field — laying the engineering foundation the Wildcats build on today.

"I have to root for my alma mater [White Oaks] … I've gone back and spoken several times at White Oaks so I was pleased to hear that they were in the competition. It looks like it's really well built."
